چکیده

Abstract The current work examined the therapeutic potential of 6-aminoflavone (6AF) against mouse model-based oxidative stress-driven synaptic and memory impairment caused by lipopolysaccharides (LPSs). In brains experimental mice, LPS administration for 3 weeks significantly increased stress inhibiting antioxidant enzymes, including superoxide dismutase, peroxidase, catalase, glutathione, upregulating lipid peroxidase. Male albino mice were arbitrarily divided into four groups (1) Control, (2) treated (250 µg/kg, weeks), (3) plus 6AF (30 mg/kg 2 (4) weeks). Different enzyme assays, behavior tasks, western blotting technique used to test potentials this 6AF. Remarkably, dosage reversed activities enzymes reduced neuroinflammation in adult mice. Additionally, 6HF also improved synapse (both pre- post-proteins) restored impaired LPS. short, these findings propose that is a natural, non-toxic, potent agent treat neurodegenerative diseases.

Curcumin Ameliorates Sertraline-mediated Testicular Toxicity in Rats via Inhibition of Oxidative Stress

Background: Sertraline is prescribed mainly for the treatment of patients with depression. However, this drug is known to have toxic effects on the male germ cells. Therefore, this study was designed to examine the ameliorative effects of curcumin on the sertraline-induced male reproductive toxicity. Methods: Thirty-two male Wistar rats were randomly divided into four groups of eight each. The...

Modulatory role of nitric oxide releasing NSAIDs in aging- and lipopolysaccharide-induced cognitive dysfunction in mice

Inflammatory processes play a critical role in the pathogenesis of the neurodegenerative disorders and are associated with cognitive impairments. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and nitric oxide releasing NSAIDs are reported to be effective in reducing the risk of developing AD or cognitive impairments. Present experiments were performed to study the possible effect of nitro napro...
